Want to contribute to Cardboard magazine? Wondering if you meet the writing requirements? To write for us, you must be…
• A college student
• A follower of Jesus
So what are we looking for in an article? Most stories revolve around spiritual growth, faith+missions+justice, culture, or community. Is your topic one that you and your college peers are interested in? In other words, write about what matters to our generation. Read the blog and don’t hesitate to respond to postings whether you agree with the author’s views or not.
Online Cardboard articles run anywhere between 300 and 800 words, but they can be shorter or longer if the content is consistently strong. For the iPad edition, department stories are typically 500 to 1,000 words, and features are between 1,200 and 2,000 words.
After you’ve found a topic to write about,
• Send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and tell us something about yourself and your writing interests.
• Send your completed blog to email@example.com, and we’ll get back to you on your submission.
Whether you guest-post once or become a regular contributor, we want to talk with you!
Interested in doing something bigger? We are looking for writers who are willing to submit feature stories for the second issue of our iPad magazine, which is scheduled to release at the end of this year. If this interests you, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and pitch your idea.
Thank you for your interest in Cardboard magazine!
